The Room is New Georges’ indispensable workspace for women+ artists (and their collaborators) – perhaps also YOU! Rent The Room!
It’s located in ART/New York’s Spaces at 520, on the 3rd floor at 520 8th Avenue, between 36th and 37th streets. It’s approximately 20’ x 30’ with no columns. What comes with it? 45 or so chairs, an upright piano, a variety of tables and cubes, music stands, a shelving unit, and nice big WINDOWS.
The Room is a community space and we’re not often on premises. So there are some tricks to using The Room! Click here for The Room Rules, our guide to everything you need to know before, during, and after your rental.
Booking and rates. First things first: is it available? Check our calendar right here. If the dates/times you’re interested in are free, email theroom@newgeorges.org to find out the rest and to book. You’ll hear from Deadria, who runs and manages The Room. We answer Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm. Thanks for your interest in The Room!
